A festive winter wedding at The Harvard Club of Boston

Jamie & John’s fashion-forward winter wedding in Boston was the ultimate blend of elegance, sentiment, and personal touches – all set just steps from their home in the heart of Back Bay. They kicked off their Boston wedding weekend with a chic rehearsal dinner at Rochambeau, a stylish French brasserie on Boylston Street. Jamie wore a stunning blue Alexia Maria dress with a dramatic bow, nude Prada heels, and Van Cleef & Arpels earrings – a perfect “something blue” moment. Guests were greeted with custom newspapers styled like the Boston Globe, filled with their love story, wedding weekend details, and games to set the tone for a fun and thoughtful celebration.

The next day, Jamie got ready with her mom and sister at the Eliot Hotel on Commonwealth Avenue, donning feathered pajamas before slipping into a breathtaking Elie Saab gown with detachable sleeves and a train. John wore a classic black tuxedo from Suit Supply, a Tom Ford bow tie, and engraved cuff links with their first dance song, “Fly Me To The Moon.” After a romantic first look outside The Harvard Club of Boston, they took portraits around their neighborhood, including in front of their apartment building. Jamie wore her grandmother’s white fur coat, which had both their names embroidered in blue on the lining – a deeply personal touch.

Their ceremony took place at the historic Church of the Covenant on Newbury Street – a National Historic Landmark in Boston’s Back Bay – where red and white florals framed the altar and candlelight added warmth to the winter setting. After their heartfelt vows and an epic first kiss, they hopped into a limo back to the Harvard Club, where carolers (a festive surprise Jamie found during a walk months earlier) greeted guests with holiday cheer. The Harvard Club, a quintessential Boston wedding venue with old-world charm and roaring fireplaces, was the perfect setting for their cozy and elegant winter reception.

Jamie & John treated their guests to a Japanese-inspired cocktail hour as a nod to their honeymoon destination, with sushi, gyoza, spring rolls, and yakitori. A surprise fashion illustrator sketched stylish couples throughout the night, while white florals designed by Jamie’s mom – a retired florist – added sentimental beauty to the space. Guests danced on a black and white checkered floor to an eleven-piece band before enjoying desserts and an espresso martini bar – the perfect ending to a timeless black tie Boston wedding in the heart of Back Bay.

In a full circle moment, their nuptials were announced in The Boston Globe the next weekend and Jamie and John celebrated becoming husband and wife.
