A festive winter wedding at The Harvard Club of Boston

Jamie & John got married on the same block as their home! They kicked off their fashion-focused winter wedding weekend in Boston with a rehearsal dinner at the chic French spot Rochambeau, where Jamie sported her something blue in a gorgeous Alexia Maria dress with a statement bow in back, nude Prada shoes, and classic Van Cleef earrings. They handed out custom newspapers in the style of the Boston Globe with articles on how they met, games, and wedding weekend info.

The next day, Jamie got ready with her mom and sister at the Eliot Hotel in matching feathered pajamas. She wore a stunning Elie Saab gown with a detachable train and sleeves, and John sported a handsome tuxedo from Suit Supply, a Tom Ford bow tie, and cuff links engraved with “Fly Me To The Moon” (their first dance song) to complete the look. They had a first look outside The Harvard Club and walked around their block for photos, stopping at their building for sentimental portraits outside and in the lobby. To keep warm, Jamie wore her grandmother’s white fur coat, which included both Jamie and her late grandmother’s signatures embroidered in blue on the lining.

Once the sun set, they headed down Newbury Street to National Historic Landmark Church of the Covenant, where red and white florals cascaded around the altar. After a quick ceremony and an epic kiss, they climbed into a limo back to the Harvard Club where they were greeted by carolers singing and bringing holiday cheer to them and all their guests! (Fun fact – Jamie was taking a walk one day and spotted carolers outside the Eliot Hotel and asked if they had her wedding day available – they were, and she “sniped them” said Jamie!)

Jamie & John opted for a Japanese-focused menu for cocktail hour as a nod to their honeymoon destination, with sushi, gyoza, yakitori, spring rolls, and more passed around to guests. As a surprise to their well-dressed guests, the couple hired a fashion illustrator to sketch couples and deliver them at the end of the night – it was a hit! The fireplaces were crackling and the room was filled with white florals that Jamie’s mom designed, as she is a retired wedding florist – how sentimental and sweet! Then, they partied the night away to an eleven piece band on a checkered dance floor before the desserts and espresso martini bar came out. What a stunning black tie affair!

In a full circle moment, their nuptials were announced in The Boston Globe the next weekend and Jamie and John celebrated becoming husband and wife.
