Rob and Lauren’s brother-in-law were roommates during an Army training. After the training, they were both stationed at the same base in Washington and continued to hang out. At the time, Lauren would spend summer break in Washington with her sister and was introduced to Rob. They hit it off right away, and Lauren convinced her dad to drive her car and dog to Texas so she could spend another few weeks with Rob They championed 4 years of long distance and traveling to see each other as Rob finished his time with the Army and Lauren finished her residency The day they closed on their first home together, Rob handed Lauren the keys with an extra somethin’ somethin’ attached to the keychain… A DIAMOND RING!!!
About their wedding day – BIG RAIN ENERGY. 100% chance, big rain, big wind. We made a call the night before to move the wedding from the evening to 9:00am, Priscilla the incredible officiant was there bright and early, the amazing florists a Coleen’s Flower Shop put in extra hours to finish Lauren’s bouquet early, she did her own hair and makeup, and WE MISSED ALL THE RAIN!!! YAAAAAHOOOOOOOO!!! 30 minutes after we hugged goodbye, big downpour energy. That night, a stunning sunset and a double RAINBOW!!!! It was a beautiful Monday morning for all. Tears, laughs, and a first dance to “Surf” by Mac Miller.
