“When the root is strong, the fruit is sweet.” – Bob Marley
Katie & Roger: football fanatics, adventurers abroad, and four-legged parents, sprinkled with the perfect amount of humor and sass. Well, maybe that’s just Katie, but Roger has his moments, too. On a misty October Sunday at Pierce House in Lincoln, Katie anxiously awaited her ceremony upstairs. She wore a St. Michael charm with a Winnie-the-Pooh quote inscribed on the back in honor of her father. She included bright, tropical flowers in her rich autumn bouquet, a nod to Roger’s Jamaican roots. And speaking of Roger, he made the ceremony arch with his own two hands!
Their families stood close by as they said their vows and shared their first kiss. With fall being their favorite season, they made sure not to skip any fabulous fall details – pumpkins, hot apple cider, gold glitter, romantic roses, and even Tom Brady’s head on a stick for the photo booth (it is football season, after all). They TORE up the dance floor like nothing I’ve ever seen before! Katie & Roger ended the night with an epic smore’s bar and a choreographed dance – and off to Belize they went!
Thank you to all the fabulous vendors!
