Museum curator and bride Katie and her partner David brought their whimsical yet timeless vision to life at the historic Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA. Just outside of Boston, this New England estate wedding venue is known for its lush gardens, sweeping lawns, and elegant greenhouse, where Katie and David shared their romantic first look. Katie and her bridesmaids all wore white dresses in varying styles, each carrying a single-variety bouquet pulled from Katie’s larger bridal bouquet, creating a modern yet cohesive look for their Boston wedding. White parasols added charm and practicality on a hot summer day for the wedding party.
The Lyman Estate, a classic, historic venue for Boston weddings, served as the perfect backdrop for their garden ceremony and tented reception. Guests were serenaded by live musicians during the ceremony and enjoyed cocktails from a luxe vintage VW mobile bar during cocktail hour on the lawn. The reception included beautifully styled escort cards – each guest’s name tied to a mini vintage vase filled with fresh flowers.
In a joyful nod to David’s Chinese heritage, the couple surprised their guests with a traditional Chinese Lion Dance before cutting their wedding cake. This mix of elegance, history, and culture made for a truly unforgettable Boston wedding celebration at one of the area’s most charming estate venues.
