A luxurious black tie wedding at The Bowery Hotel in New York City

Meg and Dan met on their first day of college, hit it off immediately, then promised they wouldn’t date They made it to the end of the year… Meg brought Dan to her family’s house for Thanksgiving and they still insisted they weren’t together! But that didn’t last long, and soon they caved and made it official.

In their decade of being in LOVE, they championed long distance from North Carolina to Washington DC, moved in together in DC, moved to NYC when Meg enrolled at Columbia for her masters, and have settled in on the Upper West Side. Dan proposed to Meg in 2019 outside Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod right after a Turkey Trot They considered a Cape Cod wedding, but soon realized that a black tie, downtown Manhattan soiree was more in line with their styles and personalities. (Psst – peep their Upper West Side engagement session HERE!)

Fast forward almost two years… and after a few weather scares that week, Meg and Dan woke up to a 75 degree sunny day in The Bowery Hotel in lower Manhattan. Their dream day was here… and ohhh was it perfect! The best parts?

  • Dan’s “I do” cufflinks, swanky tux, and monogrammed velvet slippers

  • Meg’s perfume bottle with their date engraved on the bottle, blue Jimmy Choos, and antique teacup, china, and stamp collection

  • Skyline views during the first look on their private terrace

  • The epic just married flower petal toss outside Grace Church

  • A vintage 1973 yellow taxi ride to The Bowery

  • Fried oysters topped with roe + a jazz quartet at cocktail hour

  • Hand blown glassware and stunning florals in the reception room

  • An opera singer performing during the first dance

  • The Metropolitan Opera cake that Meg surprised Dan with

  • An eleven piece band that rocked the night away
