Can you believe 2021 is almost over? It’s wild how fast this year has flown by. So – it’s time for a behind the scenes look at the annual LM year in review!

2021: Let’s break it down!

• 34 couples photographed… 11 in August alone!

• 3 “destination” weddings photographed – 2 on Martha’s Vineyard and 1 in New York City

• 6 super-soaked rainy weddings (like this one!)

• 28 portrait sessions photographed

• 3 commercial lifestyle shoots (check them out here)

• 4 print + online features in blogs and magazines – The Knot, Green Wedding Shoes, Boston Magazine… so proud!

• 1 epic promo video created

• 100+ bubble teas consumed, with my new favorite flavor being Salted Plum w/ Melon from OneZo

• 1 podcast interview recorded

• 16 new take-out restaurants tried (7 of them now in my regular rotation!)

• 1 new camera body in the mix, the mirrorless Canon R6 (which I truly do not like compared to the 5D Mark IV, so I shoot with both now)

• 33 new recipes tried in my kitchen – the best being this easy lemon butter pasta w/ crispy breadcrumbs + ricotta

• 5 seasons of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills binged (just since November, aaah)

Thank you to all my 2021 couples, their parents, their wedding parties, EVERYONE for a phenomenal season It was wild, hot, sweaty, fun, and y’all made me and my second shooters laugh, cry, and feel SO appreciated and loved Vaxxed, masked, and ready to party.⁠

The 2021 power move was finally getting contacts so I could ditch my foggy glasses on rainy or humid days and see what I’m shooting much better I also tried out a new memory card + wedding prep organization system that was an efficiency hack / game changer, I’ll share with all you photographers this winter! AND LASTLY… I found a deodorant that doesn’t leave white streaks on my black outfits and camera harness and wow can’t wait to wear it all next season!!! Degree Ultraclear ⁠ Yeah, I wrapped up my 11th wedding season but I still evolve and grow and learn new life hacks every year.

Here’s to making the most of this wild year!

IMPORTANT NOTE: 32 out of my 34 weddings were completely masked up (shoutout to June + July when the numbers were almost at zero UGH). I am proudly vaccinated and boosted, and because of that, have been lucky enough to safely snap an outdoor selfie or behind the scenes photo without a mask. For the rest of the time on my wedding days, I either completely distanced, did headshots / action shots in an empty room, or was masked up. I take this pandemic extremely seriously and do my very best to keep myself and my clients safe.

A huge shoutout to my second shooters, Genevieve & Rachel – you two give me life.
