12 years ago while visiting MIT, Alina met Eli when she (literally) tripped and nearly fell, but Eli caught her… and the rest was truly history. On a beautiful July afternoon, Eli & Alina finally became husband and wife.
They planned to get married in Cambridge at their alma mater back in April, obviously those plans changed. Instead, they celebrated on a beautiful 70 degree July day (unheard of!) with an intimate, stunning, incredibly loving ceremony at St. Cecelia’s in Back Bay with their priest who has known them for 6 years, Alina’s mom, and their two best friends. Everyone pulled up a chair in a circle, talked about love and marriage and overcoming hardships in life, performed readings, and spoke from the heart. It was truly an honor to witness, and a thing of beauty to photograph with soft candles flickering on the alter and the afternoon sun streaming through the stained glass onto Alina’s cape. After the ceremony, we headed to the Public Garden and Beacon Hill and soaked up that delicious golden hour light, danced down Beacon Street, laughed, snuggled, and were congratulated by dozens of passerbys and car honks.
