Lauren from the North Shore and Nick from the South Shore met almost four years ago in Boston. They hit it off right away on their first date at Canary Square in Jamaica Plain. They’ve enjoyed years of trying new restaurants, hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter, beach days all over New England, and raising their bunny daughter Dot. Nick proposed in October 2019 at Spring Point Lighthouse in Portland, Maine, and Lauren said YES! They moved in together and bought a home in Marblehead during lockdown and began planning their 2021 wedding.
Lauren & Nick’s special day took place at Lauren’s childhood home, a sprawling historic estate overlooking the ocean, complete with an Italianate rose garden, fountains, statues, and cliffs – and it was nothing short of breathtaking.
Lauren & Nick exchanged hand-written vows in private during their first look in the rose garden, became husband and wife on the front steps under a golden cod (a local ode to the fishing industry) while a live painter captured the scene, mingled with guests with lobster rolls by the pool, grabbed a glass from the champagne wall before taking their seats in the reception tent (all tables named after their favorite beaches), scaled the ocean cliffs at sunset, and danced the night away (before enjoying the s’mores bar of course).
