A classic Boston Public Library wedding

Vanessa and Colin met their senior year at Trinity College, and what started as a college romance turned into something that just kept growing. Four years later and newly engaged after a proposal at Rowe’s Wharf in Downtown Boston, they were ready to celebrate.

Their wedding day was filled with multi-generational legacy. Vanessa was baptized in this church 27 years ago to the exact day, her parents married here too, and on this afternoon her Aunt Vanessa – whom she was named after – stood at the altar and married her and Colin. Vanessa’s brothers stood beside her as men of honor, her grandparents watched through teary eyes, and Colin’s family gained their first official daughter.

A vintage Rolls Royce ride to the Boston Public Library led straight into a cocktail hour in the Courtyard, complete with passed appetizers, Aperol spritzes, and the sweet sounds of a live saxophonist.

The night peaked with dinner in Bates Hall, a dance floor affogato bar in the Abbey Room, and then carried right on downstairs into an afterparty featuring the bride’s favorite touch, an espresso martini tower. From a church full of family history to one of Boston’s most iconic wedding venues, this was a celebration layered with meaning from the very first moment to the very last sip.

If you’re looking for an experienced Boston Public Library photographer you can trust, someone who has photographed dozens of weddings there over the last 16 years – let’s connect! Head over to the contact page and we’ll get this party started. I can’t wait to share the LM experience with you.
