Twenty one guests, two happy lovers, and one teeny tiny pup named Nutmeg. Suzanne & Peter’s intimate private estate wedding in Oyster Harbors on Cape Cod was relaxed, intentional and true to them, with only immediate family in attendance at the family home. Suzanne’s entire family grew up nearby, and the day was filled with sentimental touches that meant so much to them. The newlyweds spent the day laughing, cracking jokes, sticking their tongues out (ok, maybe just Suzanne for that one), popping champagne barefoot on the beach, climbing the jetty, eating an incredible meal together, and dancing under a floral-filled backyard tent to the best mix of ABBA and Pitbull. When Suzanne was done with her heavy dress… she threw on sneakers and a robe and ran back onto the dance floor – something you can do when you’re surrounded by your parents, siblings, and kids!
With the forecast looking very wet and wild due to tropical storm Phillippe, it was questionable whether outdoor photos and a trip to the beach would be possible – which is quite the bummer for a coastal Cape Cod celebration. Incredible planner Lia was tossing buckets of water out of the reception tent before the ceremony as it downpoured! In a very LUCKY turn of events, the rain and wind stopped just in time, and we took all their family photos on the rolling lawn of the Wianno Club with the ocean behind them before Suzanne kicked off her heels and ran barefoot in the sand at the beach. They hosted a reception in Brooklyn over the winter with all their loved ones and are happily enjoying married life!
