Colleen & Jimmy met in the 5th grade. They didn’t start dating until high school – and Colleen knew that Jimmy loved listening to Mumford & Sons. Naturally, to impress him, she would play Mumford reallll loud in front of him to get his attention! It wasn’t until Colleen’s brother stole her phone and texted Jimmy (making the first move) that they started talking – and boyyy did they hit it off! Almost 8 years later, Jimmy got down on one knee and proposed to Colleen in Boston right before their Mumford & Sons concert! Colleen is a nurse and Jimmy is a financial analyst, but they’ve both worked at Parlee Farms for YEARS, so they decided to celebrate their engagement at their “happy place” last year (peep it here!)
Fast forward to the crazy year that is 2020, and their May wedding was postponed to September… on a TUESDAY! They knew a Tuesday wedding was a little unorthodox, but that date holds a special place in their hearts as it is the day that they started dating back in 2011. So so sweet! They got married at The Barn on the Pemi, a stunning property in Plymouth, New Hampshire that sits high above the Pemigewasset River on a secluded hilltop with breathtaking mountain views. The foliage was every shade of red, yellow, and orange, and there was a perfect breeze running though the trees.
Colleen walked down the aisle to Mumford & Sons, and exchanged vows and read quotes from Winnie the Pooh in the stunning greenhouse. Guests who couldn’t make it could Zoom the ceremony as well! Then… finally!!! It was official! They hung out with their family and wedding party overlooking the mountains while a slight drizzle started, and embraced the full on downpour when it came time to do their couple portraits. They danced the night away in the barn with all their favorite people (and with cupcakes and donuts!). CONGRATS Colleen & Jimmy!
