Eighteen years after their first date at a Bob Dylan concert, Fiona and Johnny — an Irish and English pair brought together by friends — are officially married. After becoming U.S. citizens in 2020 and 2022, they decided it was time to take the next big step and say “I do.”
Fiona spent many Mondays at the Boston Public Library when she first moved to the U.S., so when the library began offering one-hour elopement ceremonies on Mondays for the first time ever, it felt like fate. They secured a coveted spot at one of Boston’s most iconic wedding venues and made it official with an intimate one-hour ceremony surrounded by the library’s rich architecture and history in the Guastavino Room.
The Boston Public Library, located in Copley Square, is a top choice for couples planning a Boston wedding ceremony, thanks to its indoor location, stunning architecture, and iconic history. Fiona and Johnny’s celebration was proof that even after nearly two decades together, love can still feel brand new.
Congratulations to Fiona and Johnny on their Boston Public Library wedding ceremony – may your story continue to be filled with music, laughter, and decades of joy.
