A stylish, waterfront museum wedding at the ICA in Boston, MA

Deena and David met at Legal Harborside – Deena was VERY skeptical that this first date would lead to a lifetime of love and happiness. To her surprise, they hung out until the restaurant closed – it was freezing outside by then, but they spent hours talking and getting to know each other and something CLICKED!

When it came to their wedding, it had to be somewhere on the water. They live in the North End overlooking the ocean and love taking walks through Pilot Park. They walk to the Seaport Harborwalk all the time, go to First Fridays at the museum, love enjoying dinner next to the ICA… so it was clear that the Institute of Contemporary Art was the PERFECT place to get married.

Finally, June 12th was HERE and the sun was SHINING! Deena and David got ready at the stunning Envoy Hotel overlooking the Boston skyline. They opted for a very small wedding party – only a best man and maid of honor, their siblings! Deena surprised David for their first look on the Harborwalk with a STUNNING wedding gown! She got her Pronovias dress while visiting her sister in LA, and never imagined herself in a style like this, but it was THE ONE. I mean, can you get enough of that BOW in the back? It was absolutely perfect for a museum wedding – she wore a work of art, too! They walked the entire length of the Harborwalk, met up with family for portraits, and explored the galleries and art inside the ICA before the ceremony.

Deena descended down the stairs of the ICA leading to the harbor as her 10ft train trailed gracefully behind her. Their friend officiated the wedding, which happened to be one of the shortest ceremonies in history – six total minutes from dad giving her away to the kiss. And they read their own vows to each other! They were SO excited to become Mr. & Mrs. Kelly, and toasted with all their friends and family making rounds at cocktail hour under the bistro lights.

As the sun set, the reception began, and guests found their seats with shot glasses filled with boozy gummies! Everyone laughed through the wonderful toasts to the couple, ate an incredible dinner, and joined the couple downstairs in the main lobby for dancing and dessert. Deena and David can’t get enough of Hot Mess – they love catching them play live around Boston and were beyond thrilled to have them play at their big day, and they certainly brought the PARTY! And even after the party ended… they had an after party at Rosa Mexicano next door! Incredible!

Congratulations Deena and David – may every year you spend together bring endless love, joy, and snowboarding trips together. XOXO!

Thank you to the amazing vendors!
