15 years later… we’re introducing the new Mr. & Mrs. Rutherford!!! These two are Boston legends Lauren is an incredible wedding, dog, and family photographer and Paul is a badass sports and fitness photographer They are the sweetest, silliest people, best friends, forever lovers, puppy parents to @rosieroo_thebernedoo, and Taco Bell aficionados Paul is the mochi to Lauren’s froyo Paul can catch anything in his mouth that Lauren throws at it, and Lauren makes the best gin and tonics on the East coast.
They met in boarding school in Pennsylvania when they were 16 and 18, and after plenty of conversations about their favorite ice cream flavors over AIM, they officially started dating And well, they haven’t stopped since! They planned a wedding for 2020, and we all know how that went, so they postponed to the most perfect, sunny, warm May Saturday at The Preserve.
Lauren got ready with her nine bridesmaids and Rosie, and Paul got ready with his eleven groomsmen. And their parents! It was a full house, full of LAUGHTER and hugs and tears. Lauren wrapped a lucky charm and a little gold elephant charm around her bouquet to honor her grandmother and got ready to see Paul for their first look! They laughed, gave piggy back rides, partied with their wedding party, and finally hugged their family and friends they haven’t seen in ages.
The ceremony began, and Lauren’s veil cascaded in the wind as she walked down the aisle with her dad. Their friends read AIM transcripts of their first interactions in high school, while everyone laughed so hard that their bellies hurt. Lauren’s cousin sang a beautiful song (it was Lauren’s ringtone for Paul way back when), they read their vows to each other, and finally became husband and wife! They immediately sprayed bottles of Prosecco and celebrated.
While guests mingled at cocktail hour by the barn, Lauren and Paul visited Chocorua Lake down the road for some epic mountain portraits. Then, it was time to party the night away with their guests with an incredible dinner, cake, cannolis, and champagne. Oh, and Paul showed off his catching skills as Lauren chucked olives into his mouth from across the dance floor. They’re celebrating their marriage across the Pacific in HAWAII for the next few weeks! YAY!
CONGRATULATIONS Lauren and Paul – your joy truly radiated throughout the entire day. Your love story is one for the books.
